    Help With Plywood Floor

Pallets will slide on e-track, and some pieces will slide off the track, and some pieces are so heavy it would be a pain to straighten the load. More links in my signature line. eb

    Expediting in Michigan

Save the van for after you've done your research. If you drove for two years, where are those contacts? That's where I'd start. Find someone who needs you and a vehicle then find the vehicle that meets their requirements. My experience is with over-the-road; courier and local work is usually...

Seeking Info on working for myself

One idea would be to join OOIDA. You could use their services to get your authority, and they have classes that teach you about all the things you need to know about running under your own authority. eb

Looks like it was good that I moved west out of detroit on Friday. I've already had a dry run, a load and a full day of sitting. But I didn't manage to repaint my vehicle either. eb

    sprinter differential lifespan

Similar thing happened to me around 200,000 miles in my 2007. A retainer that keeps the floating axle from floating too much sheared. I'm wondering if that contributed to premature wear. Mechanic says I have a few months, so I'm shopping around for options. eb

It's good to hear that load stayed in the family. They are good people there. The kind of customers that make you want to go out of your way to help. You should have seen it when they put it on my van. Springs bottomed out and tires squashed out like I had a couple flats. Without me having...

I would have been part of that line up, but yesterday when you were working through the single digits I was working my way down from 22 in line. I bailed on you guys, and it almost worked with a load out of Lansing, but after they finished building the piece of equipment it was 1000 lbs over my...

    Suggestion Box Thread

Agreed. I think that is sometimes the information that runs off the end of the address line in the macro. I don't think dispatch realizes we can't see all the information that they can apparently see on their screen. I've missed critical information that was hidden "off the page". eb

Available-Sleeping simplifies something that is already going on with the freeform macro. As the company grows, which it is doing, processes are going to have to be automated. Fortunately we are working with a company that is good at implementing progress. eb

    sprinter differential lifespan

We recently had a good discussion on the life of sprinter transmissions here. In the spirit of that thread, how about sprinter rear ends? Has anyone had to replace or rebuild theirs? Is there a replacement rear end comparable to the Silver Star transmission? How many miles did you get out of...
