Get that Fuel Ticket - TA/Petro

Certain types of freight require one driver to be in attendance of the vehicle at all times. It eliminates having to wake up the co driver so that the fueling driver can walk inside. Sent from my EVO using EO Forums

    Performance Monitoring

I talked to Tom in CLink. He said they are supposed to reset once a week. Will try to get ours to reset that way too.

I wish they had asked about the mandatory 30 minute off duty break. May drive only if 8 hours or less have passed since end of driver's last off-duty period of at least 30 minutes. [HM 397.5 mandatory "in attendance" time may be included in break if no other duties performed]

    Performance Monitoring

Is there any way to reset the Performance Monitoring function on our QC's? Ours has been running since August. I would like to be able to use it to see how our fuel mileage changes week to week and in different driving conditions.

    Opinions Please

Our all miles rate (odometer) this year was $1.41. It should have and would have been higher except we switched carriers (from Landstar back to FedEx) and had to DH home multiple times this year. Also my wife had to take a couple of months off due to a death in the family. Had we not had so much...

This last year our total operating expenses with no truck payment was $.70 per mile. A little higher than expected but we had to DH home a few times do to family emergencies. Should have been around $.65.

    Columbine student's father 12 years later !

I normally stay our of The Soapbox but this was forwarded to me today so I thought I would pass it on. Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to...

How to properly stock a human and mascott first aid bag

Add a couple of paint stirring sticks to your bag. (There usually free at Lowes and Home Depot) They make great splints. With some of your duct tape or an ace wrap you can easily immobilize an ankle, leg, arm, etc.

Get that Fuel Ticket - TA/Petro

I think it's Pilot that has the disappearing points. I have never had any points disappear at T/A or Petro. I forgot about the restaurant points we get. Eat at T/A or Petro and earn $$$ for use in the restaurants.

Get that Fuel Ticket - TA/Petro

Let's see. At T/A-Petro we received over $1200 in fuel discounts and over $150 in points this year. Never had to pay for a clean shower. Repair shop on premises. Full service restaurants. Exercise rooms, nice TV lounges and ample parking. At Pilot-Flying J we get Denny's, McDonalds, Arby's...

    Baby needs new shoes!

Check T/A and Petro. Also Speedco has a good discount program for FedEx. We got our last set of Firestones at T/A. The old ones lasted 250,000 miles and were only half worn out. We replaced them because we had a couple of lugs break out.

    Tensioner Pulley's

The local shop took it apart today. The thermostat came apart and fell into the water pump impeller. (The grinding we heard) There are also two bad tensioners. So I get new thermostats, tensioners, a water pump, new belts and they found a drive axle seal that had just begun to leak. According to...

    Tensioner Pulley's

We have 937,000 miles. Owned it since it had 617,000. The motor has been good to us. We average 9-9.5 mpg without a generator. Plenty of power and not many problems. Hoping to go 1.3 million miles.
