Delivered my first load in Midland, TX Monday. Relocated to Ft. Worth. Waiting on dispatch to get me out of here.

Hello everyone, I am now officially a member of Load 1. Truck #3215. Should have happened a week ago but I had to take care of some personal issues. Will change my signature line once I'm on my laptop and figure out how to do it.

Just remember that if you are at fault in an accident your own camera can be used against you. I use mine when parked in case I ever have another truck hit and run.

You are correct. But the old flat rate had a dedicated dispatcher that would run the wheels off the truck. I was making 6 cents more a mile but not getting any miles.

I bought some Krud Kutter at Home Depot before I saw these posts. It works. Spay it on, wait a minute, wipe it off. Repeat and its good as new. Now my problem is its cold out tonight and the signage won't peel off easily. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm enough in Taylor tomorrow.

I think FedEx is doing whatever is the most profitable for them. We can only haul freight exclusively for FedEx Custom Critical, but they are free to broker out loads to any carrier they please.

I believe labor, pallet jack and liftgate should be 100% to the driver. I can live with a percentage of detention pay as the carrier has to collect it.

Two runs for 1000 miles in two weeks? I would be deadheading home and applying for a job at McDonalds.

So far my miles have been up but my average per mile is down. Loaded miles rate down $.10. All miles rate down $.21. Since we run team and do more than 120,000 miles my gross income will be down more than $20,000 this year over last year. I'm going solo this month to see how that works out.
