    So sad.

It's bed time and I see that this thread is done. Sure glad I am hunting in the morning. At least that won't be a total waste of my time.

    So sad.

Race had NOTHING to do with this. The victim was black and so was at least one of those who ignored him. The thug that attacked the black man was also black.

    So sad.

There was no hate in those videos on the news this morning, other than the thug that beat an old man, they just did NOTHING. Self-centered, lazy cowards. Just call 'em as I see 'em.

    So sad.

What is there in common between an 86 year old black man and a lesbian that would cause people to ignore them when they are in trouble? I will tell you, they are lazy, self-centered, cowards. THAT is why people don't help others.

    So sad.

This thread was not about the man in question being a vet, or another being a lesbian, it was about rotten people doing nothing.

    So sad.

No, I don't believe everything 'back then' was good and now everything is bad. It has been a long time going down hill. I will enjoy tomorrow, going hunting. That does NOT change the fact that those who did nothing are scum.

    So sad.

I look around a lot. I guess it's just for most of my life I have been around people who would act. All I am used to seeing is GOOD people. I don't care who did not do what, scum is scum. As the saying goes: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"...

Maybe in Detroit, I am not used to cowards. If that is the norm I am happy I don't live there. I don't think that mentality has 'always been there' either. It is not what I remember growing up in that area.

    So sad.

I can't believe that no one helped him after that thug left. They just ignored him as he crawled.

Yeah, I know, but I was born in Detroit.

Where do you come up with stuff like this from? If you cannot come in here and not try to cause trouble, don't come in. Your remarks are NOT on subject.

I guess, a MAN would not care about the legal system. Cowards every where. Cops can't do the job, and then they want to disarm us? In their EAR!. Too bad there was no one there who was carrying. It is for things like this that this old man often carries.

    So sad.

This story is SO sad. What is wrong with people in this country any more? They see this old man, crawling, after having his car stolen and his was beaten, and they IGNORE him! I saw the film of this this morning. I was embarrassed to be from the area and embarrassed to be an American. We are...

    Interesting and disturbing

The VA assumues service connection for ALS because of the high percentage of military vets who contract the disease. I am not sure but it would not surprise me that there are other diseases that fall into that mold. The government/military was often 'exempt' from safety regulations that the...

So Much for "Live Free or Die"

Sad but true. We were taught that in our CCW class. I think the lawyer said something to the effect of 'dead men can't sue'.

Keep in mind it was not only the military that used chemicals. The National Park Service used "Agent Orange" in the '70's. I used it in Everglades National Park in '73. On days when we were not on a fire we were killing trees that did not belong. We would 'girdle' the tree and then squirt the...

    Interesting and disturbing

I know little about the chemical warfare history of the US and world in general. I know far more about the nukes. I do know that the US was a leader in the efforts to do away with these sorts of weapons. They have been moving the remaining weapons to storage/disposal sites for years. They have...

    Interesting and disturbing

The government in general and the military in particular does not adhere to common sense safety measures when handling chemicals. They have a lot more exposure than the general population. In the military is was, more so years ago, part of the job. When chemical weapons were in every day use...
