The shipping channel between Detroit and Windsor is, at it's shallow point, 35' deep and 45' deep at it's deepest point. No coal, ore or ocean going carrier could run in a channel that is only 10' deep. The majority of ships that run that channel draw 25' to 30' when loaded. I don't know where...

So where are you sitting this Easter?

We are at home. Went to church this morning to celebrate the glory of the 'Risen Christ' then off to spend the day with family. Praise the Lord for the chance to be at both functions.

    It's over Johnny !!

No, I did NOT vet the sponsors that WJR has. It makes no difference. Romney is going to win, Paul is not going too. Whether we like that or not, it is the reality. It was going to be that way long before this event took place. I don't honestly really care. I don't like Romney, I don't like...

    Extraordinary Rendition .....

First off, I do not post on any other site. I have only one screen name. Many in here know me and know that I am who I say I am. Those who know me know I am what I say I am. Saddam did NOT have nukes. He DID have 500 metric tons of 'yellow cake' as well as several thousand nerve agent war...

It would take an extremely strong swimmer to swim from Detroit to Windsor, Canada. The currant out there can exceed 8MPH this time of year. 6 to 7MPH is the norm. That currant and the cold water temps most of the year would make that a VERY tough swim.

    It's over Johnny !!

Was this the event at Ford Field in Detroit? If I remember correctly that event was a 'private' event that was going to take place in a much smaller venue. The Secret Service moved it to Ford Field at the last minute because they felt that they could not provide security at the original site...

At least I only go by one name in here.

    Extraordinary Rendition .....

AFAIK does not cut it. Far too many 'anti-war' groups in the '60's and '70's were funded by the Soviets and their clients. I would have to have TOTAL accounting and the ability to verify every donation before I would trust them. I don't trust 'anti-war' groups because of my personal experiences...

    Extraordinary Rendition .....

It would be interesting to find out where their funding comes from. Follow the money and you can learn a lot about their wants and needs. I just don't trust them. I have no reason to trust them. I kinda don't trust a lot of 'so-called' libertarians either. Most that I have personally met who...

Who should be Romney's VP ?

Well, that requirement eliminates about 99% of all elected officials in office today. Kinda narrows the pool.

    Extraordinary Rendition .....

I clicked on the link you posted ( I do that even though many believe that I do not) and it took to to a page called "Anti-War.com" I would trust that group about as much as I trust that the 'occupy movement' represent more than just their own interests. No group or government represent my...

    Extraordinary Rendition .....

Interesting but hardly an unbiased source. As with all unbiased sources, they cannot be trusted. How many of these, 'so-called' anti-war groups are as active in Iran, or Russia, or North Korea, or even China, trying to expose their crimes, their torture, their enslavement of entire...

You would be hard pressed to find any better walleye fishing, any where in the world, than in the Detroit River and Western Basin of Lake Erie. Amazing.

More nonsense from the dumocratic party

A write in cannot work this November or any November. I would write in who I believe is the best person for the job based on my beliefs and life experience. You would do the same. Since my beliefs and experience are vastly different, it is likely that my 'ideal' candidate would be different...

More nonsense from the dumocratic party

We support one or the other because, for a least for now, we have no real third choice. The best thing we could do is get a "none of the above" choice on this years ballot. No write in can win.

More nonsense from the dumocratic party

"Best way to stop illegals from voting: secure the **** border ....." Never happen. Obama needs as many illegals voting as he can get. They are part of his reelection plans. Never happen. The GOP needs as many illegals as they can for cheap labor. Neither party is interested in securing...

    Lame stream media, AGAIN!

Yeah, Obama will direct the leaders of Pravda to look out for him. Unless they hand him out to dry to cover their sorry donkeys.

Who should be Romney's VP ?

We have no leaders in this country today. At least none have come forward. As to whether some one is a 'leader' or a 'terrorist', that is only determined by who wins or loses and who writes the history. It is almost never that black and white. The ability to see that requires the temper of...

Who should be Romney's VP ?

Good thing that Lincoln could not get elected today. He was as hard or harder on the Constitution than the bum in chief we have today! We need an AMERICAN in that office. One that loves and respects our Constitution. We do no have that now and will not have come November.

Air Tabs and mud flaps. Do they work or a waste of coin?

Just what I saw. Every truck is different. Prior to putting them on my average was 9.5 to 10. Since I put them on it is 10 to 10.5. Those numbers are VERY consistent. They hold true at weights below 6000#, whether I am running the reefer or not. High winds and mountains hit us pretty good.
