Thinking about Retiring? This could be fun.

I had a pretty big inside stateroom with Holland America... and a nice last minute deal, not as cheap as Norwegian, but not expensive either, $1100 for 16 days from Barcelona to Tampa

Thinking about Retiring? This could be fun.

Last year I paid $800 for a 16 days Transatlantic cruise with Norwegian. That's $50/day... and that was for two people. About clothing, they do have shops and lots of clothing articles that are going on sale before reaching a port.

Split Speeds are back in many states.

It's not quite so, 50 km/h is on regular roads, streets, but not on freeways. The lowest speed in town on freeway it's 80 km/h (50 mph). It drops usually to 60 km/h in construction areas, but unlike USA and Canada, the reduced speed is only at the construction site, not for miles before the...

Split Speeds are back in many states.

A friend of mine from Germany told me that there are actually two different driving classes, one for manual transmission vehicle, and an easier class for automatic transmission vehicle. Those who get the license for automatic, they're not allowed to drive vehicles equipped with manual transmission.

Split Second. What would you do?

What would I do? I'd do what I always do, keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me... probably that's why I crossed the 2 mil miles line accident free...

Split Speeds are back in many states.

Split speed for big trucks I believe will be a good thing for CV's. More hot freight will go to them, than being carried by big trucks, that not just once they were (and are) collecting more shipments for a single truck...

    A little help?

It looks they do it that way... I had good drivers which suddenly left for other fleet owners, and I strongly believe the recruiting did it. Once, and I believe I mentioned it before, I met a former driver of mine, driving for another fleet owner and he claimed that he was really busy since he...

    A little help?

I have drivers that are with us for over a year now, some quit after 6-7 months, getting their own vans, some simply didn't like the expediting job and quit after few days, weeks, and some were stolen in particular by this carrier - I believe I mentioned this before in a different thread. But...
