    Uber Freight

That is already investigated and over, it was ruled any current system would have made the same error. The safety record of auto pilot is already better than any human record. The new "smooth" version of auto pilot is imminent. SAE level 3...SAE level 5 means we are redundant

    Uber Freight

I've posted a few times on this. We won't have to worry very long...the self driving issues pretty much evaporate when there is no driver involved to get injured. Soon, containers for self driving vans and trucks will be as ubiquitous as the 48x48 skid. All that's needed is an empty truck or...

MAY all your dreams come true!

800-1200. But considering what I already spent, its getting to the point where I'll drive this for quite a while to feel like I got my money's worth You can get a year old Transit former rental around me for as low as $25,000

Of course. And, of course I was hoping for anything but the rack It hasn't gotten worse. If I remember right it felt like something popped and hasn't changed since. Passed safety after u joint, but my feelings on mechanics are well known

MAY all your dreams come true!

Already replaced. I just don't know what's normal on the Sprinter, I thought I remembered light steering at first...it's heavy enough to be a two hander even on the hwy

MAY all your dreams come true!

Question. On my maiden ride, my sprinter had light (normal) power steering, 3 hours into my 6 hour drive home it went stiff and has been ever since. Would the pump fix it? I don't even remember what it should be like, and the pulley is free turning, no bearing damage...

    DEF fluid is dead!

They said it will be out in US by September. Are they wrong? Hmm that autoweek article mentions compact SCR. I'll have to research more Didn't they have an oilfield fire in California that burned for months? And they're worried about a handful of diesel vans? Edit: after scanning the info in...

    DEF fluid is dead!

Along with the pollution control breakdowns that afflict newer Sprinter and others. This hit me sideways, it's from a manufacturer that I made a complete break with, old or new vehicle (a junior tech forgot to fill the antifreeze in our MPV at a recall service, we were phoned to come pick it...

    Uber Freight

Well spit it out, UBER. Do you have cargo van loads and what are the rates? That being secret sets off my bull**** alarms I am pro-app and eagerly awaiting a finished product. Kind of useless to me when my company keeps me loaded every day at above bid board rates tho

Color spectrums for long night runs

I found the light thing interesting. One van, I made all the interior lights red (even the dash lights) and had far better night vision than before. Of course, a newer van with the brighter halogen reflector lights kinda made a bigger difference than red interior bulbs. So I find the light...

    2012 Mercedes Sprinter 144" 3.0 Diesel Opinions

Yeah, I used to agree. Bought my 2005 Sprinter for that reason. And yes, I still think its better than the new one. But after replacing the transmission control board, e brake cables, steering u joint, engine wiring harness, alternator, starter, fan clutch, blower motor, egr (well kinda sorta)...
