I don't know about Palin's reasoning for replying but the whole breast-feeding thing took a wrong turn when it was twisted into the critics of Michelle Obama not regarding breast-feeding as the best way when what they/we all objected to was the TAX CUTS she proposed for breast-feeding equipment...

If we follow this to it's obvious conclusion then the Obama girls would be fair game and we ALL know THAT isn't gonna happen. Palin's children are singled out because she's a conservative, it's as simple as that.
