If you lease on a D unit straight truck with Landstar Expedited and there are not any expedited loads in a particular area, will/ do they offer general LTL freight to you? Given a choice of general LTL or nothing at all, seems like a way to cut down on DH and make a few $ to get to a better...

Those days are gone. I've got a freightliner with a cat engine and Allison trans. Great truck. But I will not be able to get another one, at least not new.

Even with all the regs, I still will not run triple digits. Every time I leave home on a trip, my goal is to make it back home safely, and of course, make a profit.

I get passed by them every time. At that speed, they better get very,very good pay for it. It will cost more to get it there...if they make it there at all.
