Hope so, had similar sounds before.. but previous incidences, was alternator, 2 tensioners, etc.. removed belt, all good.. no flex, harmonic balancer is good (replaced a couple months ago..) leaning towards an engine or transmission mount so far. Not a huge noise, which is what's annoying...

crap. crap. and again. crap. Had a good 2 weeks...then got a "mystery rattle" from the engine.. pulled belt, checked pullies, etc.. no joy... running fine, just got a noise up to 1000 rpm... in shop trying to trace down. me.
