Bill could be right. Yeah spray and clean that throttle, also another possibility is the air flow sensor could be dirty or bad and need cleaning. Make sure to use the right kind of spray for the sensor. Also check all connections and intake tubes are tighten have good seal. It's good to rule...

Torque converter is difficult to diagnose and a replacement can cost the same as "a good used trans" or a rebuilt one. If this was my situation, I'd look up and say a prayer...lol.. It's a tough decision to make, especially what if it's not a torque converter. Don't know the answer, but...
