Real engines don't require throttle plates, neither spark plugs. Lol.
Pulling your leg Mr. Moot. Hope for an easy (ie. Inexpensive) fix.

So, truck still has issues! Ran fine yesterday and earlier today, on the way to drop, driving along fine although I thought I felt a slight hesitation or even misfire, but with road conditions who knows. Then, going around 40mph, dash message displays "Service Engine Soon. Then slows itself to idle speed. I continued down the shoulder until I could turn off. Stopped, turned truck off, turned back on and everything was normal. The check engine light NEVER CAME ON??

That exactly what mine did right before needing a throttle body. Then Uncle Bob had a throttle body go bad recently. And now Moot is having issues with what I believe might just be his throttle body. Ford issued a recall/bulletin on a bunch of 2015 Transit throttle bodies. Of course mine nor Uncle Bobs were in the correct serial number range to get the free replacement.

Thanks Bill, will heck it out tomorrow.

Question, do you think my "water adventure could have caused throttle body issues?

Bill could be right.

Yeah spray and clean that throttle, also another possibility is the air flow sensor could be dirty or bad and need cleaning. Make sure to use the right kind of spray for the sensor. Also check all connections and intake tubes are tighten have good seal.

It's good to rule these out first and much cheaper.

Dodge tried that crap with me once....I wrote a registered letter to head office and got a reply please take this letter to any dealership and regard this as your recall letter, Please accept our apologies for this misunderstanding...

I highly doubt that water ever got that high in the engine bay. Plus it's a sealed unit. Be sure and ask if your vin number is included in the recall/service bulletin.

if its not....it should be....they do make errors....fight it out..there maybe ongoing problems and you could be sorry you didn't fight it out....

Just now talked to Moot. His problem was the throttle body. They replaced it and he says it runs perfect now. So that's now 3 Transit's in this group that have had to have it replaced. Probably a bunch more that we don't even know about.

I would imagine that the non floating transit going semi submersible may not be responsible for this, but it can't be a beneficial thing...water in the exhaust isn't a good thing and if that water had any of the salty bayou water...not a pleasant thought

Yup, same code as Moot so truck in shop another day. I'll let you know tomorrow, getting new one installed tomorrow. So far the biggest problem created by my water adventure has been replacing air filter. Everything else got better after drying out. Today some corrective and preventative maintenance, Air Filter, R & R rear end fluid, Drain & Fill Tranny. Will advise later tomorrow if all is well again.
