    panther dead zones

After just a couple weeks with Panther, the first one OOS for the Expo, (Which didn't do anything good for my availability rate, lol), my biggest problem is the lack of local satellite directions, which we got at CW. Now, we get local directions from the customer, and we all know how accurate...

    Pop-up Blocker

My dear son in law put one on my desktop computer, that makes a very rude noise when it blocks a popup - I'm so glad he didn't get hold of my laptop! It has a very quiet popup blocker, and I think it's the Yahoo Toolbar.

Keeping an open eye on the road!!!

You brought up a very important point: if you don't trust that your partner will do their best to take care of you, then you're missing out on the best part of a good relationship. Not to mention a lot of sleep, too, lol. Trust is an essential part of any good relationship, business or personal...

    The Red Planet

Y'all had to bust my bubble - just when I thought that I'd finally be able to actually use the word "azimuth" in a sentence! :7 :7 :7

Why are people so RUDE to others

David: for what it's worth, I believe whoever would think, much less write, such comments, was pointing out what's obvious: they are waaay too small a person to see the ginormous size of your heart, in every post you write, without shriveling up even smaller. They just had to make noise, before...

    D.O.T. physical

Rfrogger: I'm kinda confused - does "it" mean your physical paperwork? The application for the FAST card lists everything they want, & I don't think they give a hoot about your physical - it's your background they're interested in. And your fingerprints, of course. Just fill out everything on...

    Tell Me Why

David, I LOVE that song!! It's Shawn Morey, and he also did "The Toddler Song", which is just as funny, if you've ever had a 3 year old around, lol. Thanks for the link - it's one to bookmark, for sure! :D

    New Moderator, New forum!

T HAWK: Glad to welcome you to the Mod Squad, I think you'll do a great job! Incidentally, what exactly does "Sports" include? I mean, if I feel left out, can I troll through the Guinness Book of World Records, to find a sport I might know something about? :+

OIL PRICES WILL FALL, JUST HOLD ON

My thought is that it's time for a revolution, but one that gets the message (we have had enough of greed running, and ruining, our country) across without bloodshed: vote EVERY incumbent out of office. Our elected representatives have forgotten who they work for, and a clear reminder is long...

    I really want to know!

The google eyes are PR - don't want to be scaring small children & old ladies with the fierce panthers, lol. And, I SAID I made it up - got halfway through the word, couldn't quite remember how to finish it, so let my fingers decide, & liked what appeared. :+ There are times when a brain just...

    I really want to know!

I haven't found many that don't have it - though yesterday I found one, in Columbia, SC, (I26, exit 115) that gets suspicious if you're parked there after dark. They called the police to ask me why! And after I'd explained that there is wifi there, and I do pay for it, the police officer...

    Backing into Docks

Team driving is a relationship, whether personal, business, or both. In any relationship, whatever suits you both is the right way to do it. ;)

Keeping an open eye on the road!!!

Awww, thanks, Leo. And, having had the opportunity to meet Leo at the Expo, I feel qualified to state that he is just as sweet as he is smart, and he's kinda cute, too. And, luckily, he's not where he can throw things at my head for saying so! :+

    New Panther/Conway drivers

I did a Macro 8 earlier today, which stated the number of average loads from Atlanta is 2 per day, number of available units is 1, number of units enroute is 1. However, when I called Panther to discuss moving to Atlanta, the dispatcher said the number of units in & enroute to Atlanta is 8! A...

    I really want to know!

MickeyD's wifi is Wayport, for which you need a username & password. Mine is from ATT, it cost $20.00 a month, which was the best deal I found, considering the ubiquitisnosity (yes, I made that up!) of MickeyDs. If you have any other ATT or Cingular services, the price is just $1.99 a month -...

    Dog as security system

Which of the qualifications would the IRS argue, I wonder? Dogs are common and accepted, and the health benefits, both physical & mental, qualify them as helpful and appropriate, especially for people who pretty much live on the road. Security is just an added bonus, I'd think.

    I'm Back

Mike B: It's really good to know that you landed in a good spot, and that all your years of experience will still be available to those without. Enjoy! :)

    Recent bumper sticker sightings

I liked "Don't honk - I'm pedaling as fast as I can!" so much, I put it on my mother's car, lol. :P

Keeping an open eye on the road!!!

T Hawk: I've found the same thing, that I "can" drive much further as a solo, than I thought I could as half of a team, but the reason is that we can do anything, if we think we HAVE to! It's all in the perception: if you have to do it, you generally will. Now, if I could just convince myself...

OIL PRICES WILL FALL, JUST HOLD ON

The supply vs demand model has a lot of holes in it, for instance, when cellphones became more widespread, thus dropping demand for pay phones, prices at pay phones increased. The Post office raised stamp prices when email cut into their business. Oil prices are set by the Wall Street...
