    Need advice Straight truck tires

He was hoping they would get to 550,000 or to 600,000. We had the tires turned on the rims as we were getting some odd wear on the inside. When one of the tires was remounted the tire shop broke the bead and in a short period of time the tire was ruined.

    Kudos to Michelin

We run the Michelin Wide Base singles and after 380,000 miles we developed a bubble on the sidewall. We were in upper Minnesota and were lucky enough that we had several hours before we had to pick up our load. We called around to the local dealers and finally found a dealer that had one...

EO University Workshop First Observer Workshop July 24th Expo

Thanks Greg for the link. While this program will not make us more money it could make us safer on the road and also more observant of what is going on around us.

Less Than a Buck to laredo

What is your flat rate per mile Dave that Panther offers your trucks that are not in Elite? What I am trying to say is while it is fair to say there are low offers there are also great load offers that are above the normal for the flat rate companies. Logic again would say they are...

EO University Workshop First Observer Workshop July 24th Expo

We applied to be in Highway Watch as it was phasing out so I do not know what the differences are. I like that First Observer is being pushed by OOIDA and supported by OOIDA. We plan to attend as we feel it is important.

Less Than a Buck to laredo

We all talk about these low rates on load offers that when no FCC truck takes the load they are offered out to outside carriers. We all like to talk about the poor load offers how about lets talk about the great load offers we get even with a 500 mile dead head on them? Do you guys really...

Less Than a Buck to laredo

Dave what in the world are you talking about? I do not know anything about bid wars? Pitting drivers against drivers? The system is no different then it was before. More drivers see the load at the same time but the dwell time is the main issue on who gets the load. We also can refuse 20...

    Qualcomm Charges

Greg when you left FCC I do not believe you got your escrow money back until you returned your QC and also showed proof you had removed the signs from your truck? FCC covers the cost of repair to the QC or should I say we cover the cost to the repair to the QC with our weekly fees. With the...

    Personal Conveyance Use Of Truck

    Qualcomm Charges

Layout we are going to pay for this one way or another. It will either be in QualComm fees or in another fee. Many states do not have a personal income tax but their bills are the same as a state that has a personal income tax. These states raise the money with a different tax.

    Personal Conveyance Use Of Truck

Layout how do you drive around now on your 34 hour restart on the paperlogs? (or would you rather not say) The laws have not changed with the EOBR it just does not let you have creative logging anymore. While pre assigned on a load my interpretation would be you are under a load. It will be...

    Qualcomm Charges

Someone has to pay to have the QualComm installed. What happens when the new truck gets the QualComm installed and quits the next day? Who covers the cost of this? Who pays for the cost of the QualComm when a truck leaves a company and cuts all the cables and mails it back and does not have...

    Personal Conveyance Use Of Truck

Dave what is the personal conveyance time at Panther that is allowed? What is the criteria before you can take personal conveyance time? Do you know if there has been any problems with this? How did any company handle personal conveyance time legally before the EOBR?

    Personal Conveyance Use Of Truck

Dave, you are right so why would the company not want to protect their interests by curtailing our personal conveyance to minimize their liability. Nothing has changed with the EOBR from paper logs we just now being held accountable when our truck moves.

    Personal Conveyance Use Of Truck

FedEX signs I am sure looks really good to a lawyer as they have deep pockets. Us as O/O are small beans as we have very small pockets. I know when push comes to shove I am going to be looking our for our concerns not FCC they are on their own. I believe that this is a two way street and we...
