    Lift Gate Lift Axle

As a surface truck we used our lift axle much more than our lift gate. Both helped us to get more freight which was our goal. If we would have had to choose we would have went with the lift axle first. We use our lift axle in the wind as well to stabilize the truck and also in the mountains.

    2012 Cascadia

I have this in my original post: We are getting around 600 mpg of DEF that we purchase which has been running us about 2.59 a gallon which is a cost of around .004 a mile. DEF is not much of a factor in what our fuel is costing us and it is really not a fuel cost.

Can you explain this comment? I am confused by heavier duty truck as the only thing I can think of that is heavy duty this this truck is one built to work in the mines and never get on pavement. We watched the sleeper being built and from what I saw I do not think there is a safer sleeper...

Our 2012 Cascadia has 70,330 miles on our DD13 and we are still amazed with the truck and the fuel mileage. Don Bentz makes an amazing comfortable sleeper which we are still thrilled with. We will be running a DDEC report on our truck in the next couple of days for an update on our fuel...

Michigan front lic.plate for straight truck

A rear WORKING light is required on the back of a CMV it says nothing about illuminating a license plate. Kind of silly the law is the law

Michigan front lic.plate for straight truck

That is the funny part of the laws is that we have to have our plate on the front but the tag light has to be working on the rear of the truck. When we had our Flying Pig the plate tag illuminated the purple pig.

Michigan front lic.plate for straight truck

Check with your state as we believed that as well a straight truck the tag goes on the back and that was not true for our state. The law was very specific when registering a truck that the plate be placed by the weight of the truck not the type of truck.

Michigan front lic.plate for straight truck

In Missouri our license plate is required to be on the front of the truck. We have been questioned about this twice and in both instances we told the officer in Missouri the plate is required to be on the front of the truck and that was the end of the conversation. Your state dictates where...
