Uses for those pesky Silica gel packets

Silica gel packets instruct you to throw them away (and not eat them), you can actually keep them for a variety of unexpectedly practical uses around the home. The other day I saw information for uses of these little gems and the lightbulb went on in my head. Now I will hoard them. One use...

Engine Start Module - Maxwell Technologies

Bob has written a blog about the ESM that is a new addition to our truck. This is new technology from Maxwell Technologies that replaces one battery with an ultra capacitor. This module connects between the batteries and the starter. As long as the batteries have enough voltage to start the...

Nice wrap up for the first day of the show Moose! I see the sun starting to shine this morning so I think it is going to be a much better day. I am not sure we are deiced yet as we were pretty cold when we left. The best part was having out truck in the booth with the heater running. It...

    Miles

Average speed has a lot to do how many miles you get in a day. We are usually around 600 if we are on interstate on a long load without stops.

Interesting book - what are your thoughts?

Missie600 - I am very impressed that you have been able to do this with a small refrigerator. Since reading the book Bob has not eaten any wheat that he has been aware of. He basically cannot eat much at a fast food place so that leaves diners. He orders hamburgers without a bun and his...

Slushbusters? Where can I get them?

We bought extras last year and I am wondering if we should buy a couple more sets this year. This truck is to tall for me to slap the wipers on the windshield AND when the weather is like that the last thing I want to do is pull of the interstate. They have worked great for us for MANY years!

    Bolt sleeper window shades

It will take time as the material used in the sleeper is wrapped around and behind where you cannot get to. I know that baking soda works in refrigerators and I have been using a little baking soda in a small jar with essential oils in the cupboards to make them smell nice. I also use the...

We did run for ES for two months while our truck was being repaired and being rear ended in California last year. Expedite Services was gracious enough to let us take one of their Cascadia's while our truck was in the shop. We ran the truck as if it was our own with no guidance from ES nor...

Did you send Jason an email asking him this question? The actual loaded miles looks like it pays decent it is the dead head that is the killer. I am not so sure when they look at reports that they see the dead head miles and only see the loaded miles which looks like you turned down a decent...
