Team or solo, where's the money?

Depends on if you own the truck or are just the driver, if just the driver then yes solo is generally better paying, however if you own the truck the extra revenue generated by the team operations will keep you out of the poorhouse.

    Why leave now?

I agree that the lack of information to make decisions with is a major reason to switch carriers, they have it but make it a big secret, tell you to deadhead some major miles just to sit and rot due to them not having any trucks in the area not because there is any work there.

Detroit area was by far the best for loads and rates for our team, it's also our home area, so in order to get a weekend off had to take the truck out of service just to get some peace.

Personally I've been lucky, 3 times into florida and got 3 runs coming out, been to Panama city, Orlando and Miami, and my experience was the further south you went the longer you sat and the longer the DH to the next load, and that was running with FedEx CC. Heard from other drivers even...

Are there any companies that have dedicated runs f

RE: Are there any companies that have dedicated ru Yeah, I agree the aggrevation of customs and the long lines and gestapo tactics pretty much turned me off to taking any canadian runs. If you are a smoker, you can't have more than one carton of smokes in your truck or they consider you a...
