Is there any freight in MI??

As far as I know there is plenty. One of the best places to be short of maybe Chicago.

This week is dead... still sitting at home. Detroit is a feast and famine type place... just like the Carolinas. Three weeks ago, tons of freight. Now? Nada.

I just got a load out of there on monday. I never have a problem getting a load out of there. I am headed there now.....I will let you know how it goes in the morning.

I live just south of Detroit and have never had a problem getting a run. Monday left out about 1pm.

It dont matter if its before or after the holidays I never sit for long around detroit. just booked a load out of detroit monday went 820 some miles paid 1500. but the downside is it had 5 stops going to mi,in,wi and it took 2 days to do it. run year round freight forget about expedite

I told you that I would let you know how it went. I got a load out of dexter this morning picking up in New Hudson, and droping near Nashville, TN. I kinda wonder who you are leased on with. A southern company? Either way....good luck, and if you got out....good luck for the next time!

If you go by good week/bad week, you'll drive yourself crazy! Best to go by month, because the weeks will offset each other, usually. I recently had a $3700 week followed by a nada week (for various reasons). Overall, my 3 weeks out ended up being good.

Detroit area was by far the best for loads and rates for our team, it's
also our home area, so in order to get a weekend off had to take the
truck out of service just to get some peace.

That doesn't surprise me, KW. Between yesterday and today, almost everything is coming out of the tri-state area... especially Mich. With so many loads there, you can almost name your price.

Atlanta, on the other hand, is dead! Along with the rest of the south! Of course, I'm in Atlanta, and it looks like dh to KY so I'm sure of getting home for the weekend.

A good week is any week that 1)my van lands sunny side up and between the lines.2)I haven't thrown my cell phone or slapped the QC.3)I can't wait for the weekend because I'm tired not just bored.
If you constantly worry about the money end of this business you'll go postal.It's way to unpredictable.Dispatch can't force a customer to ship freight.
Michigan is a strange state sometimes its hot and sometimes its not.I'll sit for 1 day and then I'll roll across the closest state line. Then dispatch will call and send me back to MI to pickup.Go figure.
