What makes a good week?

Is this considered a good week.

After starting my week in Dexter, MI. on Sunday, I was not offered a load until Wed. afternoon. http://www.v-rodforums.com/forums/images/smilies/tmbsdown.gif

That load had me D/H ing to Chicago Land for a load going to Omaha, NE. http://www.v-rodforums.com/forums/images/smilies/tmbsdown.gif 252 mile D/H

From there I had a 8 mile D/H for a pick up going back to Battle Creek, MI. http://www.v-rodforums.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif

From Battle Creek, a 26 mile D/H to Kalamazoo for a pickup going to Maysville, KY. http://www.v-rodforums.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif

From Maysville, I had another load waiting at the same location going to Peoria, IL for a Sunday night D/L. http://www.v-rodforums.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif

2141 Miles and $2969 in Gross revenue, I'm having a hard time chocking this up as a good week or just a drop in the bucket to what could have been an outstanding week.

As far as the miles and revenue go that's definitely a good week for a solo. If that's a team operation it wouldn't be so good but from your post it sounds like you are solo. Good luck on many more similar weeks.

Like I said in the post about getting out of MI. Good weeks and bad weeks even out to be good or bad months. If you take everything in stride, and not get worked up over having a good week or not, you'll find out at the end of the month if it's been good or not. You could have 3 so-so weeks, and end up realizing that your month was good, overall.

sounds like a good week for a solo driver, DH not bad except for
that pickup in chicago, but you averaged 1.38 for all your miles, so
that's good.

Opinions vary from person to person on what exactly constitutes a good week. Since I am paid by the mile, I like to do 2500 miles a week. Sometimes I do 1500, and, sometimes I do 3500.
Then on Friday I find myself hugging my wife and I realize that I just survived another week on the road and here I am all safe and sound and still in one piece---YES SIR BUDDY---I had a great week!
