Walcott Jamboree starts today

The 33rd annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree kicks off today, July 12, in Walcott, Iowa, at the Iowa 80 Truckstop. The event features about 200 exhibits, the Super Truck Beauty Contest, an antique truck display, a pork chop cookout, Trucker Olympics, a fireworks show, carnival games and two free concerts — Randy Houser on Thursday and James Wesley on Friday.

Admission and parking are free, and shuttles will take attendees from parking areas to the event grounds. The show lasts until Friday, July 13, and is located at Exit 284 off of I-80.
