The Expediting Co., Inc. - A Freight Family

The Expediting Co., Inc. was started in 1989 by Bill Knight.  We began in late 1989 with one customer.  Our revenue has steadily grown from 1.5 million in 1990 to 12 million in 2006.

By expanding our customer base and services slowly, we ensured that we could offer the highest quality service possible.  We opened an office in Cincinnati, OH in 1995 and expanded that service area to Lexington, KY in 1999.  In 2000, we opened offices in Richmond, VA and Norfolk, VA.  There is full service airfreight pickup and delivery in each of these cities.  By 2002, we were able to open a sales and service office in Chicago and in 2004 we opened in Columbus.

We currently offer a scheduled, LTL line haul service between Chicago, Cincinnati, Lexington, Dayton and Columbus.  Along with LTL, we offer expedited door-to-door exclusive use service utilizing cargo vans, straight trucks and tractor-trailers.  Surface expedites are available in the lower forty-eight states and Ontario, Canada.

The Expediting Co. is a bonded carrier and provides warehousing in our bonded facilities in Dayton, Cincinnati and Norfolk.  Our facilities all meet TSA security requirements.  Our drivers are all carefully screened and trained, and go through continual training in safety and security.  Our DOT safety rating is satisfactory.

Our dedicated, loyal and passionate management team has over 160 years combined transportation experience.  Our managers strive to provide the best service available to every customer, every day, on every shipment.  We are truly fortunate to have such a tremendous team leading our company.  Their dedication, attention to detail, and desire to succeed is evidenced by our continued growth and the long-term business relationships we have developed.  We never take business for granted and always give 110% effort.
