TCA President Steps Down
Truckload Carriers Association president Brad Bentley resigned from his position, citing family obligations, the association announced.
Bentley is the second TCA president to step down in two years, with Chris Burruss resigning in June 2014. Bentley plans to take time off before pursuing other opportunities in the trucking industry.
Before being named president last fall, Bentley served as co-chair of the Image and Communication Policy Committee while working at a trucking magazine publiser, and was also a member of the Board of Directors and Recruitment and Retention Human Resources Committee.
Under the guidance of Chairman Keith Tuttle, TCA's officers are assembling a search task force to find a replacement. The staff, under the leadership of Executive Vice President Bill Giroux and Vice President Debbie Sparks, says they are committed to continuing the TCA's mission.
"It has been my distinct honor to serve as president of the Truckload Carriers Association for the past 10 months," he said, "but the time has come for a new direction."
