To all of our SST Customers: Thank you for your overwhelming support of our Freightliner Custom Cascadia program. With superior fuel economy, reduced maintenance costs, and the higher resale values we have proven that our trucks are the best value in the industry. In response to the demand for increased payloads on a 33,000 GVWR Climate Control Straight Truck we have developed the New SST Lite.

We started by reaching out to several key customers for their input and then met with our vendor team to develop this new truck. This collaboration resulted in a weight savings of over 2,200 pounds with significant safety enhancements. The empty weight of this new truck came in at a scant 25,440 lbs. (w/60 gallons of fuel). The new chassis is not only lighter but now has a significantly shorter stopping distance due to the Bendix Disc Brakes (standard feature on SST Lite). The truck is also equipped with the new Bendix "Smart Tire" Tire Pressure Monitor System that will alert the driver when a tire is losing air pressure to prevent damage to the tire and reduce maintenance cost. These two options will significantly lower the "Real Cost of Ownership" as well as improve safety for our customers. We also partnered with Thermo King and Wabash National to bring you the latest technology in refrigeration.

Thermo King recently released their new T880 model Truck Refrigeration Unit with Electronic Throttling Valve Technology and Modulation which provides the tightest temperature control in the industry. Their optional SVC program allows the customer to control the cost of repairs and enhance the reliability of the TRU. Thermo King has also developed a solar panel system that when properly used will eliminate jumps starts as well as double the life of the truck battery pack. This 200 watt system will allow the drivers to run their sleeper refrigerator and charge the batteries when the truck is parked.

Our newest SST vendor team partner, Wabash National just released their new all-composite reefer body to the industry. Stoops Freightliner has been a Wabash Dealer for many years and has been working with Wabash for the past several months to develop the perfect spec for the Expediter business. This truck body is truly a "game changer" that provides a 20 percent weight savings as well as a 30 percent increase in thermal efficiency. Wabash is one of the largest manufacturers of semi-trailers in the United States and brings all of their proven maintenance savings items such as sealed wire harnesses, LED lighting, extruded aluminum door hinges, heavy duty door seals, and 107" high door openings.

Bolt Custom Trucks has been our vendor partner on custom sleepers for many years and has proven themselves as the undisputed leader in our industry. Their SST conversions have always been the lightest and most aerodynamic sleepers available however, Bolt Engineering was able contribute to our project thru additional weight savings. By using a new composite material in the floor and cabinet bases we are able to save a significant amount of weight as well as enhance the insulation value. Bolt also recently released their new bunk restraint system to further enhance safety.
