Speedco charity golf outing raises $60,000 for Make-A-Wish

Speedco Inc. raised $60,000 for Make-A-Wish at its third biannual Speedco Fore Wishes golf tournament June 13. The original goal of raising $500,000 for the nonprofit was set in 2006, and was surpassed at this year’s golf outing.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Speedco teammates and friends were also joined by Matt, a 9-year-old wish child, and his family. Speedco surprised Matt by helping to grant his wish to go to Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas later this summer.
