Ramona Hood named next FedEx Custom Critical president, CEO
FedEx has named 28-year company veteran Ramona Hood of Copley as the next president and CEO of Green-based FedEx Custom Critical.
She will replace Virginia Addicott, who is retiring after 33 years with the company and 12½ as CEO. Hood, who was most recently vice president of operations, strategy and planning for FedEx Custom Critical, will take over on Jan. 1.
"I could not be more excited for Ramona," said Addicott.
Addicott said Hood has been involved in every facet of the business over the years and "she's got a very well-rounded background. She's a fantastic leader. She loves to develop her team and holds people to a high standard. She does it in a wonderful way to motivate people to come along and perform.
"It makes it even easier for me to retire knowing I've got a great person coming in behind me to be a great steward," said Addicott.
