Power Deck to debut heavy duty version
Since its introduction in 2008, the Power Deck has been a popular product within the expedite trucking industry.
Now, it’s about to get even better.
HD Safety Systems, manufacturer of the Power Deck, is partnering with Maxx Automotive Corporation for the 2011 Expedite Expo.
The Expo will be held July 22 and 23 at the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington, Ohio.
Maxx will debut the Power Deck Heavy Duty Series, which is capable of moving pallets weighing up to 6,500 pounds. The original Power Deck was built to accommodate up to 4,000 pounds.
You can see the Power Deck Heavy Duty in action at Maxx Automotive Booth #130 or visit http://www.thepowerdeck.com. You can also see the vehicles offered with the Power Deck at http://www.maxxautocorp.com.
The Power Deck is a cargo and pallet positioning system designed for delivery vehicles such as cargo vans and Sprinter vans. The Power Deck reduces the time spent loading and unloading pallets and heavy cargo, by eliminating the need for a pallet puller. The pallets are placed directly onto adjustable load plates that can be automatically repositioned with the push of a button.
Brandon Dekker, sales manager for the Power Deck, said the device is beneficial to drivers as well as to shippers and receivers.
“It protects the vehicle, and it provides a safe environment for the driver of the vehicle,†Dekker said. “And it provides a safe environment for the cargo. You don’t have as much damaged cargo.â€
Dekker said response to the Power Deck has been strong since its introduction, and he expects similar positive reactions to the Heavy Duty Power Deck.
“It’s been very well received not only by our dealers, but by our dealers’ customers,†he said.
