Peterbilt Introduces New Medium-Duty Trucks
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Peterbilt Motors introduced an all-wheel drive version of its Class 7 Model 337 and 348 trucks at the Mid-America Trucking Show here.
The truck is targeted to utility and light vocational applications such as well service, and is designed with an eye towards extreme off-road capability. the company said at a press conference Wednesday.
Peterbilt said the truck will be offered with an integrated winch from parent company Paccar Inc., and that it will begin taking orders for the all-wheel drive models in July.
Both trucks will be offered with Paccar’s PX-6 engine, which produces up to 325 hp and up to 750 lb.-ft. of torque, and a choice of Fuller manual or Allison automatic transmissions.
