Part of I-440 at Nashville to be closed part of weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Continued construction work on a Nashville interstate highway will close part of it again this weekend.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation said all westbound lanes of Interstate 440 will be closed between its junctions with Interstate 65 and Interstate 40.

Crews will be painting highly reflective striping on the roadway.

Work will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday and end by 5 a.m. Monday. TDOT will use overhead electronic message boards to alert drivers. The logical route for through traffic is through the downtown loop, I-40.
