National diesel prices up again

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel increased again this week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The national price gained 0.9 cent to $2.928 in the latest week.

The price is 37.8 cents higher than a year ago.

Once again, all regions except New England reported small increases. New England dipped 0.5 cent, while the Rocky Mountain region rose 1.7 cents. The Gulf Coast remained the cheapest region to buy diesel, rising 1.2 cents. California diesel rose 0.7 cent to $3.132, the most expensive in the U.S.
