Load One named CCJ’s 2019 Innovator of the Year
Commercial Carrier Journal has named Load One as the 2019 CCJ Innovator of the Year for the internal development of its Ultimate Advantage mobile application that pushes business intelligence directly to owner-operators with real-time load visibility across the company’s entire network.
Servicing the demanding expedite market segment, the Taylor, Mich.-based company’s new app uses visual mapping to show freight lane history and current position of Load One trucks and competitor trucks.
In addition, drivers can see load status updates, weather mapping, view settlement information, upload paperwork and monitor hours of service. With this information, owner-operators can make better business decisions and position themselves in the best locations for high-value load opportunities. With trucks better-positioned to accept freight, Load One is able to respond more quickly to customer leads.
The app has a 95-percent fleet adoption and has generated more than 12,000 load offers since its rollout. A recent survey of users generated a positive rating of 98 percent.
Load One was previously recognized as a CCJInnovator in 2012 for launching an online awards program that improved driver engagement and retention.
“Load One has maintained a focus on continuous improvement, not only in the front office, but for its drivers,” said Jeff Crissey, CCJ’s editor. “It’s development of the new app provides the company with a real edge in a highly competitive segment of the trucking market.”
Load One was selected by CCJ editors at the 15thannual CCJ Innovators Summit in Key Largo, Fla. The event gathers current- and previous-year CCJ Innovators for three days of networking, presentations and idea sharing among some of the trucking industry’s most forward-thinking fleets and leading executives. During the year, CCJ, a national leading business magazine for truck fleet executives, highlights one fleet each month as part of its CCJ Innovators program.
Load One won the 2019 CCJ Innovator of the Year award in a class of other industry-leading fleets recognized throughout 2018 including XPO Logistics, Penske Truck Leasing, Paper Transport, JLE Enterprises, Central Oregon Trucking Company, Veriha Trucking, Crestwood Transportation, Kenan Advantage Group, CRST International and Navajo Express.
The CCJ Innovators program is sponsored by Freightliner Trucks, Omnitracs and Shell Lubricants.
