A Pennsylvania trucking company was the victim of hackers who sent an email containing a Trojan virus to the company and then accessed its funds.

Pleasant Trucking Inc. in Connellsville was hacked on Nov. 5 when a virus was used to obtain passwords to an account for issuing checks, according to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police. The thieves cashed five checks totaling more than $8,000 in several states.

Police are continuing their investigation.
