Get Ready for the 10th Annual Expedite Expo

Wilmington, OH - The organizers of Expedite Expo 2010 have announced that the pre-show work on the event is completed the show is ready to open, this year's Expo is shaping up be one of the strongest!

The Expedite Expo opens at the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington, Ohio this Friday and Saturday and Lawrence McCord, Show Manager of the Expo says, "This event is North America's largest show of its type and we've worked very hard to focus this event towards the small businesspeople of expedited trucking."

"We have over 100 exhibits and in our Career Zone, we have the top expedite carriers represented. Whether an attendee is looking to begin his/her expedited career or is looking for a new carrier, we have the best companies here, all in one place, at one time."

The Expedite Expo will also award two lucky attendees with $1000 cash! Expo visitors can vote for their favorite truck exhibited by a truck dealer in the Commercial Insurance Solutions Expedite Drivers’ Choice Award. Their ballot is also their entry form and the lucky winner will pocket a tidy $1,000.00! One winner each day, prize awarded at 4pm.

Expedited Trucking Career Zone

Since the event's inception in 2001, the Expedite Expo has featured the Career Zone that McCord mentioned previously - a roster of expedited trucking recruiters who share the opportunities available to owner-operators and drivers at their respective companies.

Workshops

This year the expo is featuring 14 workshops! These seminars on the business of expedited trucking are an important part of the Expedite Expo and the always popular Expediter Workshops feature two full days of informative, free sessions. From buying a truck to performing maintenance, the Workshops offer the attendees the opportunity to hear the professionals in expedited trucking speak on a variety of topics.

Beautiful Trucks

The Expedite Expo features the nation's top expedited truck dealers who exhibit the newest and most innovative truck equipment on the market. Dealers typically utilize the Expo to roll out their new models to an eager truck-buying audience.

The Old Time Trucks Pavilion

Old trucks are fun, and the Old Time Truck Pavilion is bringing the fun to the Expo. Sponsored by Old Time Trucks magazine, the Pavilion gives classic trucks a place to pose and preen while they provide a look back into the glory days of trucking.

“Our Old Time Truck Pavilion provides a rare opportunity for people to visit a rolling museum of trucking history,” said Shirley Sponholtz, editor and founder of Old Time Trucks magazine. “Some of our ‘old truck nuts’ have pretty amazing antique trucks.” Vehicles on hand for past shows have run the gamut from a 1918 Oldsmobile to a 1948 chain-drive Sterling to a 1980 Mack Superliner. Some of them may be rusty, like a classic 1970 Autocar, and some of them may be immaculately restored, like a 1950 GMC Cannonball.

Anyone who loves old trucks will enjoy seeing the Old Time Truck Pavilion on display at Expedite Expo and can enjoy reading about them in Old Time Trucks magazine.

McCord concludes, "We have the best in expedited freight carriers, the newest in expedited trucks, workshops, music, food and prizes, free admission and free truck parking. This will be the best Expedite Expo ever!"
