Truckers who missed out on the first stop of FMCSA’s “road show” to talk about what’s new in commercial driver medical certification have another shot coming up this week near Baltimore.

The next FMCSA medical meeting for truckers is scheduled to be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Jessup, MD, Travel Centers of America located at Interstate 95 and Route 175 (exit 41A).

OOIDA Director of Security Operations Doug Morris and OOIDA Associate Director of Government Affairs Melissa Theriault Rohan will attend the listening session and represent the Association.

On July 21, FMCSA medical staff discussed upcoming medical issues with drivers at an Indianapolis truck stop. Truckers heard about the upcoming National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and issues like sleep apnea.
