Defense Lawyers to support St. Christopher Truckers Fund through WIT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — American Defense Lawyers will make a matching $25 donation up to $5,000 to the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund for every new Women In Trucking membership from now through March 14 2014, the organization said.

The announcement was made just prior to the Mid-America Trucking show last month.

The California-based ADL works to represent truckers on a number of legal issues.

A news release from ADL said it hopes that the match will benefit three companies because Women In Trucking will know they have helped other drivers, the St. Christopher Fund will receive a donation to help them help truckers in need and the Defense Lawyers will be recognized for its work for truckers.

“This is a win-win for the St. Christopher Fund, Women In Trucking, American Defense Lawyers and most importantly, to the drivers we help,” said Donna Kennedy, executive director of the St. Christopher Fund.

WIT President Ellen Voie is a board member of the St. Christopher Fund.
