After an extensive search for another viable Insurance option for Expedite Owner Operators, CIS is pleased to introduce National Interstate.

“Viable” means an insurance company that fully understands the details of Expediting, and is committed to paying the “three crown rules” Independent Contractor Owner Operators need in coverage, which are Primary Liability and Cargo that pays as “Non-Contributory” with an Unlimited Radius.

CIS research into other insurance companies currently popping up as “Expedite Insurance” resulted in inadequate claims payment promises including “Primary” actually paying as “Excess” (falls to Motor Carrier first) and No Cargo payout without name listed on Bill of Lading (Owner Ops aren’t listed on B.O.L.).    Radius restrictions also allow insurance companies to maintain refusal of any claim, and especially so in a serious accident.

National Interstate is an A rated company, and the recipient of numerous awards including Forbes, Information Week, NEO & Weatherhead.  They currently insure other Transportation Risks and have secured a solid knowledge of the “For Hire” exposure that is necessary for Expediters.

Our National Interstate Representative will be with us at our booth # 235 for the Expedite Expo July 26th & 27th at the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington, Ohio.  Please come by to say “hello”… see you there!
