Cabbage delays rush hour traffic after Rochester rollover
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Morning commuters were greeted by a sea of green after a cabbage truck rolled over and spilled its load across a busy western New York highway.
Traffic was backed up in both directions of Route 490 near downtown Rochester after a truck tipped over near the Alexander Street overpass and sent thousands of heads of cabbage rolling down the road around 6:30 Monday morning.
The produce spilled across the median to cover the divided highway in both directions.
Sheriff's deputies say the trucker was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
