'Band Together' for the St. Christopher Fund begins Aug. 22

The benefit event that has been a top money-earner for the St. Christopher Fund was initially planned for the whole month of August, but it’s now been announced that the “Band Together” event begins Aug. 22 and wraps up Sept. 30.

For the fourth annual fundraiser to benefit, the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund, TravelCenters of America has new tricolor blue and tricolor green bands for the campaign.

At all TA and Petro locations, truckers, TravelCenters guests and employees are invited to make  a donation of $1 or more and receive a commemorative wristband. Every penny will go to the St. Christopher Fund. SCF is a nonprofit organization that assists truck drivers suffering from financial hardship due to medical problems.

The wristbands will also be available at the TA/Petro booth at the Great American Trucking Show Aug. 22-24 in Dallas.

The third annual Band Together campaign that was held last year raised a record $278,207 for the St. Christopher Fund.
