The Alumi-Bunk Corporation demonstrated its appreciation of its customers, vendors and financial organizations this past Friday evening (December 10) with a party in their honor. The location was the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Romulus, Michigan and the get-together ran from 6:30 PM until 11:00 PM.

There was a great turnout from some 200 invited guests.  The dress was business formal with some of the ladies in evening gowns. Three combined banquet rooms were required to hold the festivities, and many attendees were heard to comment that this was truly a first-class affair, with no expense spared in providing the audience with a memorable evening.

The evening began with a welcome from Alumi-Bunk's founder Mr. Sulekh Jain, who welcomed the expediting owner-operators and others in attendance.  Following Mr. Jain was  Lawrence McCord of Expediters Online.com who gave an overview of the  expediting industry.  Alumi-Bunk's Vice President Sanjay Dhawan then recognized various employees for their contributions to Alumi-Bunk.

After dinner, a DJ provided dance music in a relaxed atmosphere.

In a later conversation, Sanjay Dhawan reflected on Alumi-Bunk's history and it's  position in the expediting equipment industry:
"Alumi-Bunk has been an industry leader in several ways - our innovative, outside the box thinking has kept the company a step ahead in understanding the market."

"Alumi-Bunk was the first company to introduce the Aero-Condo sleeper with the patented Air-ride combination.  Also, this was the first company to become a truly 'one-stop shop' that encompasses different truck makes such as Freightliner, International and GM.  Alumi-Bunk is also proactive in the areas of trucking insurance and financing along with our custom bunk and box operation all under one roof."

He continues, "Alumi-Bunk was also the first company to recognize the distress of financing in the early 2000's and what the financial institutions were wanting to lend.  It read the situation correctly and came up with innovative financing packages for first-time owner-operators through American Express."

"I have been able to put around one hundred owner-operators in business under this American Express financing.  What Alumi-Bunk has been able to do is put people in business who could not have dreamed getting into a truck because of the severe economic conditions that existed in the country for a number of years."

Lawrence McCord of Expediters Online says, "It was a great evening, and it wonderful to see some old friends among the owner-operators in attendance.  The folks at Alumi-Bunk really treat their customers and friends with respect and Friday night was a great example of that."
