My plan is to continue doing business as we are now which seems to be working very well as we have zero points for our score.   This means all good inspections and no tickets.   Bob works hard to maintain a efficient and safe truck, and we both work hard to stay compliant with all laws concerning our business.

We are proactive and stay involved with learning new rules and regulations coming out.   We do this in many ways: Expediters Online, OOIDA members, Trucking Radio, Truck Shows, and members of various organizations.    We also attend any FMCSA hearings we can or if not listen in on the listening sessions.   We have found one of the cheapest ways for us to stay involved is by having unlimited minutes on our cell phones.   I figure the unlimited minutes is a small price to pay to stay on top of everything happening in our industry.

There are also new regulations coming out concerning our medical cards that are on the positive side.   Hopefully this will eliminate the drivers who are not healthy enough to drive and will encourage them to do something about their health now before these laws are placed.   While driving a truck is not hard it is hard on your body and we struggle constantly to stay healthy and not lose muscle tone.
