This workshop is going to be a lot of fun as we are teaming up with Terry O'Connell to talk expediting and expectations. From the time we as drivers start talking to recruiters we each have expectations. We want certain information from the recruiter and the recruiter would like to hear certain words or phrases from us as potential contractors.
During the presentation Terry will represent carriers while Bob and I will represent a potential driver and current drivers. We all have needs that have to be met to form a profitable partnership. Our conversation will start with ideas of how to talk to recruiters and other drivers and progress through the maze of preparing for orientation, orientation, and getting that first load. Then we will follow up with how to succeed once out on the road as a contractor.
The presentation will finish up with a brief presentation about the Team Run Smart Program. An educated driver is not only a benefit to himself or herself but also the company they are leased to. Taking care of the business side of trucking will allow you to fully enjoy the fun side of trucking.
