It's a Team's Life

Trucking Solutions Group (TSG)

The TSG has been through many changes including a name change during the past two years.   We meet each Wednesday for a conference call that is at a minimum of one hour and has gone on as long as three hours.   Each member of our group is unique and brings something special to our meetings.

Our chairperson, Rick Ash, keeps us on track and keeps the records of our contacts and our guest speakers.   Rick has the difficult job of chairing the meetings and at times using the computer to put us all on mute.   Rick also plays devils advocate at times when the rest of us come up with some outlandish ideas.

Timothy Weber, is our silent one!   He has a difficult time getting on our calls as he hauls grain in an area with poor phone signal.   Timothy is involved with many projects and always has good information to share.

Scott Kinley, is affectionately known as our bulldog!   Scott is great at cutting directly to the heart of the matter and saying what he is thinking.   Scott is our idea person and he has really had some great ones.   Due to Scott, we now have a Trucking Solutions Driver Health Council.   Through the Driver Health Council, we have become active in promoting better driver health.

Henry Albert, is our contact person.   Henry has contacts in all areas of trucking and through him, we have had many great speakers.   He always knows someone interesting that is willing to come on one of our calls and educate us as well as us educate them.

Bob Caffee, is our thinker.   He listens and then interjects a comment that is most often right on the mark.   Bob answers many of the technical questions that are asked.

I have become knows as the bossy one!   I get a project we are working on in my mind and off I go assigning tasks right and left always keeping the goal in mind.   I am teased a lot which is fine as I can give it as well as take it.

Our group is fantastic and we all get along  and work well together.   We each bring our unique personalities to the phone calls and we have a great respect for each other.   Through the TSG, each one of us has grown and became better business people and more involved within the trucking industry.

We meet each Wednesday and it is not very often that a member of our group is not on the call.   Our speakers have included freightliner sleeper engineers, Michelin and Bridgestone engineers, Mike Beckett, from MD alignment, oil specialists, and a representative from CRASH, Todd Spencer from OOIDA, and the list keeps going.   We learn from our speakers and our speakers have the unique opportunity to speak directly to the drivers they are influencing.   We have been asked many questions on how their marketing is working and how we would like to see them change.
