Time Zones

My sleep patterns seem to follow the sun and I easily slip from one time zone to another.   Bob on the other hand stays on the Eastern Time zone no matter how long we stay on the west coast.

I find it odd that my sleep patterns can change very quickly but my stomach stays about the same.   My stomach wants to eat on Eastern Time and is slow to change over.   This can be very inconvenient as some of the truck stops have stopped serving food all night and when I am ready for breakfast it is only three in the morning in California.

I have tried putting the heavy shades on the windows and going to bed at my normal time and I still in a few days am totally switched.   We often do a few short loads while on the west coast and it all seems to work out fine.   Many of these short loads end up happening totally on Bob’s shift and I get a mini vacation. Once we get a load going east I start switching back to whatever time zone we finally land it.

I wish I had Bob’s ability to stay focused and not follow the sun for when I get sleepy.
