There is a chill in the bed….

We have a Murphy bed, which is fantastic as we have lots of additional room in the sleeper.   The bed folds up against the back wall out of the way until it is needed.   There are two small clips that hold the bed in place and in an upright position and while the bed is a little heavy it is easy to lower.

What I like about the Murphy bed is that the bed can be made and then lifted into position and stowed away till needed again.   The sleepers that have the bed that is made up of cushions looks very uncomfortable and I cannot imagine sleeping on cushions going down the road.

Now for the suspenseful part of the COLD bed….   When in Michigan last week the temperatures where dropping steadily and as I go to bed early I lowered the bed and crawled in.   Imagine my surprise when I crawled into a VERY cold bed….   Why this was a surprise is beyond me, as our old truck would get frost on the rivets inside the sleeper in the winter.

I crawled into the cold bed, wrapped the blankets around me and smiled as I find it much easier to drift off to sleep when it is cold.   There are sure parts of winter I am looking forward to and drifting off to sleep when it is cold is just one of them.
