One of the events I am looking forward to is the Women in Trucking gathering that will be held Saturday April 2nd starting at noon in room C201-C205.   One thing about women they know how to hold a large event with spectacular snacks.   Featured was a chocolate fountain that was enjoyed by all attendees.

There was a plethora of million mile drivers that were recognized by Anne Ferro last year.   The parade of women crossing the stage to shake hands with Anne was awe inspiring and some day I hope to join the ranks of million mile safe drivers.

This year the Women in Trucking advisory board will be recognized and which I am excited to be a member of.   Many of the board members have not met face to face, so this will be a first to put names to faces.   From the conference calls these women are fun loving that are very serious about being a support group for other women in our industry.   We recognize that we are working in a male dominated industry and that we can perform the job and still keep our femininity.

After all of the activities inside we will all parade out for group pictures.   As you can imagine there is a lot of giggling and laughing going on as we gather for the picture.   This year we hope to top 400 women CDL holders in one place and set a record.

I hope to see all of my fellow women at the event.   You must pre register and you do not need to be a member of Women in Trucking to join in.
