Salute to Women Behind the Wheel MATS 2012

Saturday March 24th 2012 pre register at the Women in Trucking Booth number 40565 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.   Valid CDL will be required at registration.   The event is held in the south wing of the convention center, following the event there will be a photo of all women CDL holders.

Doors will open at 12:00 with refreshments served and also a chance to talk with vendors.   During this hour the Women In Trucking Driver Advisory Council and also Board Members of Women in Trucking will have a booth and want to talk with everyone in attendance.   Look for the women wearing special designations on their nametag, which will not mark million mile safe drivers.   I know there will be several women who will be walking around who have driver over 4 million miles.  

At 1:00 the program will start with a presentation by Influential Women in Trucking award winner Joyce Brenny, president and founder of Benny Transportation, St. Cloud, MN. Joyce is the first women chairwoman of the Minnesota Trucking Association. Quote from Joyce

  “I had that in the forefront when I started the company in 1996 — put people first before anything,” Brenny said. “Put people first and profits second. Why do we have less than 10% turnover? It’s about the people.”
