I like unusual and different things and I enjoy looking through all of the well displayed booths.   We spent the weekend at the TA and I made several trips across the street to browse the shelves.

My first find was a troll that reminded me of one of my few dolls I had as a child.   Trolls have always caught my eye and the older ones seem to have more personality.   I especially like the wild hair and the big welcoming smile on their faces.   The troll makes me smile when I look at her and she will travel many miles with us.

Next I came across this metal tea light hat and my imagination took off in another direction.   This immediately reminded my of the hat Mickey Mouse wears in Fantasia.   I am sure the hat has no monetary value but the imagination value is priceless.   I am hoping to clean the rust off when we go home without ruining the finish.   If I do ruin the finish I will have Bob spray paint the hat a color that will fit in our room.

While perusing the store I came across Starlight a Brayer Horse that reminded me of my Grand Father who I adored.   There would be a lot of discussion when I was growing up about adding to my Brayer Collection and a horse similar to this one was one of my first purchases.   Starlight will join a couple of my other horses when we go home and I am sure he will fit right in with Secretariat and Zenyatta.

I enjoy buying things that make me smile and lets my imagination run free.   If you find yourself at the TA in Rogers, MN wander across to the Antique Mall and take a trip down memory lane.
