Pre Planning Christmas

We try to get home a few days before Christmas and that just does not leave enough time to send out gifts to extended family and get them there in time.   I drive family nuts since they get the gifts so early but I figure better early then late!   At Thanksgiving I wrap all of the gifts and get them in the mail which leaves me one less worry for the month of December.   I   have also found that at Thanksgiving I can buy Christmas stamps.   I always buy my Christmas Cards at the after Christmas sale the year before so they are there ready for me to gather up and take on the road.   I enjoy the fact that after Thanksgiving I can take my time to work on my Christmas Cards and add thought and fun details into each card before I send them out.   I admit I am one of those people who sometimes has been known to add a little confetti to the card that makes a mess when they are opened.   I also gather up all of my little goodies to decorate the truck for Christmas but those details will be in a later blog with pictures.

Preplanning the holidays make it a lot less stressful to get home at the last minute and gives Bob and I more time to just spend with family!
