Anderson’s is along I-5 and a restaurant we have driven by for eleven years.   The outside of the building is interesting and always draws my eye and each time I have thought one of these days….

We bought fuel at the TA truck stop and parked the truck.   Bob went in for a shower and I went across the street to Pea Soup Andersons for lunch.   I am not a fan of pea soup and it was with some interpretation when I placed the order.

I had the all you can eat Split Pea Soup and ½ of a grilled cheese sandwich.   The soup was very good and so was the sandwich.   I was not impressed with the prices as I thought they were pretty high.   I had an iced tea with my meal and the price was $12.87.

The Split Pea Soup and   ½ of a sandwich meal was actually one of the cheaper meals on the menu.   The soup is made fresh with no preservatives, which probably contributes to the price of the meal.   There was also a tempting counter full of baked goods that I was able to ignore.

The restaurant celebrated their 75th anniversary June 1999.
