Oversize load and truck


The driver of this oversize load was in the parking lot and came over to speak to Bob who was polishing on our truck.   He informed Bob that the boat was a brand new 2008 model on its way to California from New Jersey.   We saw the boat in Georgia it had all ready been on the road for a month.   The escort car driver informed us that it would take them a month just to cross Texas as they cannot travel on interstates.

Only part of the boat was on the trailer as the bridge is on another truck.   This half of the boat is over 14’ high.     Oversize loads look as if they would try your patience trying to get all the correct permits and be on the correct roads. The bad thing about oversize is a mistake can have dire consequences.

 

The driver gave me a tour of the boat and I took a few pictures:
