It's a Team's Life

Opposite of Safe Haven

We often do not know when we take a DDPS load if we will be able to utilize a safe haven.  If our load allows us to park in an unsecure area we will often park near at a truck stop or other place that allows trucks.

I find this time to be very productive as the truck is quiet and no one else is up and stirring around.  I cannot get stuff done that I need to concentrate on or something I have been putting off.

I gather up what I plan to work on which can be computer related or at other times I need to chill and I will bring up a project I am working on.  Before Christmas last year I often listened to a book while I finished crocheting a blanket.

I have found I have more than enough to do if the truck is moving or the truck is sitting still.  I always have a project of some sort that needs my attention.

Bob enjoys playing Sudoku and listening to books on his I-Pad.  He shares a Netflix account with our daughter and will often watch a movie.  Making the most of our time keeps us enjoying anything our profession throws our way.

We have on board cameras on our truck, which helps us to monitor our surroundings.   We have a side view camera, which eliminates our blind spot when driving.   This camera gives us a great view when parked on what is happening on our passenger side.   We also have a backing camera that gives us a clear picture of what is happening behind our truck.   We have two cameras inside the box of our truck, one facing forward and one facing back which gives us the ability to check our freight on a sealed load.   Our cameras are a tool we use to make our jobs a little easier while on the road or waiting to unload.
